How To Start A Program

April 14, 2009 | Filed under: Educators

Get started today on making Harmony Movement an exciting part of your school’s diversity education strategy!

Harmony Movement offers dynamic, innovative, and inspiring programs for youth in grades 4-12. Our eight-week flagship Diversity Leadership Certificate Program (DLCP) allows youth to delve deeper into questions of identity, stereotyping, prejudice, peer pressure, bullying, inclusivity and the true meaning of equity.

Our programming is a direct, practical application of Ontario’s new Equity and Inclusive Education Strategy, developed by the Ontario Ministry of Education in 2009.  By participating in a Harmony program, students not only become keenly aware of equity and diversity issues in their schools and communities, but also have the opportunity to share their knowledge with others by conducting workshops or assemblies with youth in their own schools or at feeder schools within their board.

If you are interested in hosting a Harmony program in your school, please complete the preliminary interest form and email or fax it back to us at lrose@harmony.ca or 416-385-2644 and we will contact you right away!
