Gallery 44 Photo Project

Gallery 44
Photo Project

With support from Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, Harmony Movement is promoting the use of arts-based methods to discuss and tackle social issues. Using photography, this program breaks down existing barriers to the arts, and encourages newcomer youth to develop new and positive methods of communicating their stories to others. The youth also participate in diversity education workshops, allowing them to express their identity in creative and transformative ways.

The photos produced by this year’s photography project participants were part of a public exhibition at Gallery 44 that ran with great success throughout the month of July. Congratulations to all of this year’s emerging artists!

This year’s theme was change.
