Join us for a day of planning and learning in community.
This forum is perfect for schools/boards who are already signed up for the campaign, and want to plan out effective implementation OR for those who are interested in joining the campaign and want to learn more about how they might implement it in their schools or boards.
The forum is targeted to support educators, administrators and board staff who will be implementing the Words Matter Campaign in their schools/boards.
The content will be delivered in English with French closed captioning and some French-language support provided in small groups.

What To Expect
At this event, you’ll:
- Collaborate with Peers: Work with your school team, other educators and community partners to identify barriers and brainstorm solutions.
- Campaign Launch: Hear and share experiences on the challenges to addressing harmful language.
- Implementation Planning: Dive into practical steps for implementing the campaign in your school community.
- Networking Opportunities: Engage in role-specific discussions with educators, administrators, and community partners.
- Interactive Sessions: Participate in activities like affirmation cards, collaborative drawing, and breakout discussions. See live demonstrations of the campaign resources and activities that you can implement in your school.

10:00 AM – Opening Ceremony: Brief overview, land acknowledgment, and grounding exercise.
10:30 AM – Campaign Launch & Materials Overview: Learn about the impact of the campaign from those who successfully implemented it in 2024-25 and explore the available resources.
11:00 AM – Breakout Sessions: Work through the onboarding checklist, map out your school team, and identify potential barriers.
12:00 PM – Lunch Break
12:30 PM – Barrier-Focused Discussions OR K-2 Content Demo: Small group discussions to address barriers and strategize solutions.
1:15 PM – Implementation Planning OR Grades 6-12 Content Demo: Continue planning how to implement the campaign in your school, or watch a demo of the lesson plans for Grades 6-12.
2:00 PM – Upcoming Content and Giveaways
2:15 PM – Role-Specific Networking: Connect with others in your role to share insights and ideas for campaign implementation.
