Join a Full-Day Indigenous-Led Professional Learning Experience on Land-Based Education
Join Canadian Geographic Education and Harmony Movement for a full-day Indigenous-led professional learning opportunity designed to deepen your practice around Indigenous education and land-based learning.

In this training, Haudenosaunee educator Katie Doreen will guide participants through meaningful ways to incorporate Indigenous knowledge and pedagogy into any classroom, using a two-eyed seeing approach. This session will center relationship, reciprocity, and water as foundational to education and will be applicable to all grade levels.
Teachers will then enjoy a hot lunch by a local Indigenous caterer.
After lunch, dive into place-based learning on the Biinaagami giant floor map of the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence watershed. Learn hands-on strategies to engage students in understanding the watershed’s geography, ecology, and cultural significance to the Original Peoples of the watershed.
