Positive Post-it Power

A short activity where students write anonymous positive messages for their peers and place them on lockers or desks, helping spread kindness and create a supportive classroom community.

Materials Needed

  • Sticky notes
  • Markers or pens
  • Bulletin board or wall space for displaying collected notes (“Positive Post-it Wall”)

Instructions

  1. Give students several sticky notes and a marker.
  2. Ask them to write anonymous positive messages for classmates. Examples: “You’re a great friend,” “You work really hard,” “Your smile brightens the room.”
  3. Have students place their notes on others’ lockers, desks, or cubbies.
  4. After everyone has shared their notes, collect a selection and create a Positive Post-it Wall as a visual reminder of encouragement and kindness.
